Years of
McCaw’s Drilling & Blasting Ltd. was incorporated in March 1977 by founder Terry McCaw, to provide drilling and blasting services with minimal equipment and labor. The early years involved work in highway projects with expansion into marine crossings and pipeline work. In 1984, the purchase of overburden anchor drills allowed expansion into the rock and soil anchor business. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, the company expanded into northern Canada with permafrost piling projects and various municipal developments in Yellowknife, NT.
Old fashioned business and family values have led McCaw’s to where we are today. President Chad McCaw’s approach is on a design build philosophy, based on a teamwork approach between the owner, engineers and the contractors. McCaw’s business approach entrenches us with our clients, private and public as well as the community, which is reflected by our growing business throughout Canada.
Our specialty work has evolved over the years through the forging of numerous drilling and blasting techniques. Our work has carried us across Canada from rugged mountainous terrain to the cold remote Arctic performing pipeline, highway, river crossings, pioneering, quarry, piling & anchors, mining, curtain grouting, hydroprojects, scaling, and windmill construction projects.
